Phew...all assignments for Semester 1 (of studies) have been completed. On this day, I have no class and therefore I made a point to follow up some of my favourite pastimes - soccer and movie. The Road to Paris or rather "Ronaldinho vs Thierry Henry" came to an end early morning today (Malaysian time GMT+8). The UEFA Champions League final between England's Arsenal and Spanish champion Barcelona ended with a victory for Barcelona with a 1-2 scoreline. Arsenal was a bit unlucky this time as their German No 1 goalkeeper Jens Lehmann was send off in the early stages. Midfielder Robert Pires was sacrificed in place for goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. However, Sol Campbell's header put the 10-man Gunners in front just before the break. In the second half, Samuel Eto'o and Juliano Belletti both scored within six minutes apart to help the Catalan side clinched their only second European title. Lastly, congratulations to the newly crowned 'Champion of Europe 2006' - FC Barcelona. "The American Kancil" While surfing, a hilarious Mona Lisa artwork was found in a website (picture has been replaced). The original Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci in 1506 is still kept in Louvre, Paris. Coincidentally, The Da Vinci Code movie played by Tom Hanks, which is based on Dan Brown's extremely popular historical + fiction book, premieres in Malaysian cinemas beginning today...with no film cuts. |
